How Admins create and edit slide templates

Overview

Slide templates are the source of truth for customized presentations the reps will remix. When creating a template, Dock can reference slides from the following:

Google Slides and PowerPoints allow placeholders for dynamic content (such as fields or sections the reps should customize per client, such as logos, objectives / challenges, etc).

Only Admins and Super Admins in Dock can edit company-wide slide deck templates.

Step 3: Click Create template on the right

Step 4: Upload your slide deck

This can be from a PDF, Google Slides, PPT or an asset you've already uploaded to the Dock library.

Personalizing Slides with Variables

Do you want reps to customize the slides themselves? You can add in image & advanced variables to Google Slides and PowerPoints. This allows them to edit certain components.

Updating Slide Templates

You can update slide templates at any time. This will update the content in any presentations the reps have created, with some exceptions:

  • Slides with dynamic variables the reps have adjusted will not update

  • The rep can change the order of the slides. Updates made to the slides will not revert/adjust that order.

  • Adding net-new slides to a presentation will not reflect in active in-flight presentations.
