How to create a slide presentation in Dock

Updated this week

Overview

Slides give you the flexibility to create polished, personalized presentations without starting from scratch every time.

When working on a presentation in Dock, you can:

  • Reorder slides from a core deck template

  • Hide or show slides

  • Add slides from other presentations or uploads

  • Edit variable fields (text, images, rich formatting)

Creating a Presentation

Option 1: Create from the Slides home page (found on left hand nav bar)

Option 2: Within a workspace, add section or use the / shortcut and select Slides

Variables

There may be dynamic variables throughout the slides that you can use to customize the presentation. For example, account name, a logo placeholder, or as advanced as a problem statement paragraph.

You'll find them on the right hand side to update as you're in the presentation builder. You will also see what specific slides they live on by the purple sticker indicator.

Delete, Show or Reorder Slides

Drag and drop to rearrange slides, or click on a specific slide for more advanced settings (such as hiding or deleting). You can also multi select slides to make these updates all at once.

Settings Bar

In your settings bar at the top you can: preview, edit the presentation settings, duplicate or archive the entire presentation, expand to full screen, or navigate back to your variables.

Publishing

When you're ready, publish the presentation in preparation for sharing it!

Sharing and Exporting Presentations

Slide presentations can be shared in multiple ways:

  • Add to an existing workspace

  • Share a link

    • Trackable link (requires an email to view)

    • Non tracking link (no gate to access)

  • Export to PDF

  • Export to PPT

Analytics

Track engagement on your shared presentations, including views and interactions, directly within Dock.
