What are Slides?

What Slides are in Dock

Updated this week

Overview

With Dock Slides, admins can maintain a master template, set clear boundaries for customization, and maintain visibility into what reps are sharing externally. Reps start from a core set of approved slides (whether for pitch decks, company overviews, etc) and mix, match, and tailor content for each account without going off-brand.

Slides enable you to:

  • Store reusable deck templates

  • Create customer-specific presentations from those templates

  • Remix presentations and personalize content with dynamic variables

  • Share presentations in multiple formats (Dock link, PDF, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Gain analytics on slide engagement

What Dock plans include Slides? Slides are available on our Premium & Enterprise plans.

How Slides Work

Slides are organized into two main components: Templates and Presentations.

Templates are where admins upload core slide decks and presentations to be used by reps. Templates are typically:

  • Managed centrally by admins or content owners

  • The “source of truth” for slide decks

Presentations are created by the reps from templates and customized for specific customers. Presentations are:

  • Built by selecting a template

  • Personalized with account-specific details

  • Edited and reordered

What Types of Slides Does Dock Support?

Dock supports multiple file types:

  • Google Slides: Best for dynamic content and syncing

  • PowerPoint: Supports variables similar to Google Slides

  • PDF: Simple and reliable, but no dynamic variables

  • Dock Library: Use decks that already exist in the library
