Library Guide for Reps

How to use the Dock Content library

Library Intro

The content library organizes all the revenue team's content in one place. The library makes it easy for reps to find approved content and share with customers.

Content is organized by Tags (i.e. categories) and Views (i.e. saved groups of content).

This guide covers:

Finding Content

The library has a number of different ways to find content:

1) Quick search

Quick search is classic keyword based search. Dock will look at all the content metadata and search through the assets themselves.

2) AI mode

AI search gives you to ask questions and get context related to different assets. Think of this mode like Chat-GPT built on your content library.

3) Views

Admins will setup views which are a collection of different assets. These views are based on a set of filters (i.e. tags, engagement, file type, etc.). Views are typically oriented around product lines, teams, or sales motions.

Sharing Content with Customers

Dock makes it easy to share content with customers.

On every asset page (or thumbnail/row), Dock will show a Share button.

Click this share button and you'll see two choices:

  • Tracking link: the user will need to put their email in to view the asset. The email will be tracked as an identified user view.

  • Non-tracking link: the user won't need to input their email to view the workspace. The view will be an anonymous viewer.

Just click on either option and a link will get copied. Then just paste that link into your different communications and customers will be able to access the content.

For either option, you'll get notified when the customer has viewed the link and you'll get analytics around the engagement. Learn more about content analytics →

Note: Dock will automatically block you from sharing internal assets with external users.

Add Library assets to workspace

Dock provides the ability to add library assets to workspaces. Reps will do this for two reasons:

  1. One place for customer relationship: Workspaces are a great way to consolidate the entire deal (or onboarding) in one place for the customer. This makes things easier for everyone involved.

  2. Secure sharing: Workspaces have more capabilities when it comes to adding restrictions around sharing (i.e. domain blocking, Google sign-in, etc.). Learn more →

How to add library assets to workspaces

Step 1: Navigate to the workspace in question > Editor view > and click Add section:

From there, you can choose the type of section that you'd like add to the workspace.

Step 2: Select Library.

The list shows the most recent assets, but you can also search for the asset you need.

Step 3: Hover over the asset and select Add to add to the Workspace.
