Overview
Practice gives your team a safe place to learn new material and rehearse real sales conversations with AI. You'll find it under Learning in the left nav. Practice includes two tools: AI Roleplays and AI Tutors.
AI Roleplays
AI Roleplays let you practice sales conversations with an AI buyer. An admin sets up a call scenario, and you run a simulated call with a realistic prospect who has their own priorities, pain points, and objections.
When the call ends, Dock AI analyzes the conversation against a scorecard your admin created and gives you feedback on what went well and where to improve.
AI Tutors
AI Tutors help you learn through a conversation. A tutor explains concepts, answers your questions, and checks your understanding, adjusting to what you need help with.
Each tutor learns from materials your admin provides. These can be uploaded directly or pulled in from your Library or Playbooks.
How are Tutors different from Roleplays?
The difference is learning versus rehearsing.
| AI Tutor | AI Roleplay |
Purpose | Learn and understand material | Rehearse a real conversation |
How it works | Explains concepts, answers questions, and checks your understanding | Simulates a buyer who raises objections during a sales call |
Example | "Help me understand how Dock AI works." | "Practice your Dock AI pitch with a buyer." |
đĄ Tutors and Roleplays work best together. Learn the material with a tutor first, then apply what you've learned in a roleplay.
Where to find Practice
The Practice page: Click Practice under Learning in the left nav. From here, click Start practice to begin a session. Your past sessions appear under My sessions, and you can view your team's under Team sessions. Use the Scenario and Call Type filters to narrow the list.
Playbooks and Courses: Tutors can also be embedded directly in playbooks and courses, so reps can learn right alongside the content.
