Global Task Management

How to view and edit all tasks across workspaces

Updated over 8 months ago

Overview

If you use tasks in project plans, this global task management view will allow you to see (and edit) all of them in one place. This can be helpful for individuals to quickly understand what's overdue and needs attention, and also for leaders to get a sense of how many tasks their team is working through.

Viewing Tasks

To view all tasks, click on the Tasks button found on the lefthand nav. The page will automatically filter to any accounts you own.

At the top, you'll find a high-level report of the amount of the following tasks:

  • Open

  • Overdue

  • Completed

  • All

Below that, you'll see a breakdown of the individual tasks.

Filtering Tasks

There are a few ways of filtering tasks.

Filtering by account

Choose all accounts, "my", or select a specific one. "My accounts" includes only workspaces you're an owner of.

Filtering by assignee

Filter by the following assignee:

  • All tasks. Tasks assigned to anyone, external and internal.

  • Unassigned. Any tasks that do not have an "assignee" (this would be a great filter if you're looking to clean up task ownership).

  • 'My Company' tasks. Any tasks owned by your org.

  • 'Customer' tasks. Any tasks owned externally.

  • Specific person. Pick and choose a person (or multiple) to see the tasks they own.

Workspace Modified Date

Filter by when the workspace was last modified.

All | Internal | External Filters

Toggle between all tasks, internal tasks, or external tasks to quickly filter. This is great to use in addition to an account filter!

Editing and Completing Tasks

In this view, you can complete tasks or edit their settings! Simply check it off (click that circle) to mark it as complete.

To edit the task, click on it. This will make the settings appear on the right-hand side. Here you can adjust whatever you need to, comment, or add subtasks.
