Overview
When adding a section of content to a Workspace, you have the ability to create a Project Plan Timeline.
Progress timelines provide a high-level view of the different phases of the project.
In the guide below, we'll show you how to create and customize these for your Workspace.
Create a Timeline Section
Start by adding a new section of content and select the Timeline widget.
Name Your Timeline
Click in the blank space above the 0% complete to reveal the sidebar and toggle the Title to on. To name your timeline, click into the title field on the widget.
Create and Edit Phases
Add as many phases into the timeline by clicking on the plus sign on the right or left side of an existing phase. To edit the phase name or description, click directly onto the text.
Editing Phase Settings
Click on the phase overall to edit the settings in the sidebar.
Phase Data
Linking Checklists
For each phase, you can Connect Data by linking checklists from other sections within the space.
By linking a checklist, task completion can automatically update the progress bar of the phase. That way, as you check off the to-do's in a list, the % completion for that phase will progress.
Dates & Progress Status
Dates and progress status can be set to automatically update based on the connected checklists or can be manually updated by the rep. Alternatively, you can toggle these elements off to hide them.
What is the logic for automatic updates?
Start and Due Date: Dock will look to each of the to-do's within the checklists connected to this phase and will reference the earliest start date and latest due date.
Progress Status: Dock will calculate the overall progress based on completed to-do's within the checklists connected to this phase.

Phase Design
You can customize the feel of each phase by changing the colors and icons.
Overall Timeline Design
You can customize the design of the timeline as a whole such as number of phases, colors, border width, etc.
Timeline Data
Dates and progress status for the overall timeline can be set to:
Automatically update based on the connected checklists to each phase
Reference workspace key dates
Or be manually updated by the rep
Alternatively, you can toggle these elements off to hide them.
