How to add or edit the start and end dates for a workspace

Overview

Using key dates within a workspace can be helpful to ensure your team is on the same page when it comes to onboarding a client. It also unlocks some extra features within Dock to enhance your experience, such as the following:

  • Automation of project plans! You can set relative start/due dates for checklists (those to-do items) that refer to the overall key dates set on the workspace level.

  • The Implementation Status report. Understand how many implementations are on or off track, as well as how engaged these clients are.


Setting Key Dates

You can set key dates manually or integrate them with your CRM. This field is bi-directional, so if you do sync them with your CRM, you can still choose to keep them updated from the Dock side.

Step 1: Navigate to the desired workspace.

Step 2: On the internal tab, look at the left-hand nav bar for Key dates.

Step 3: Click on the down arrow to expand the section.

Step 4: Add/edit the start or end dates.

These will auto-save once added!


Syncing Key Dates to your CRM

If you'd like to sync any of these date fields with your CRM, navigate to your integration settings in the admin panel.

On the Accounts or Opportunities level, you can + Add field mapping for any or all of these dates.

Since this is a bi-directional feed, whichever source (Dock or your CRM) with the most recent update will be the source of truth!
