How to set a due date reminder cadence

Updated over a week ago

Overview

As you create Project Plans, you can set due dates for tasks and milestones. If you'd like, you can also set automatic reminder notifications before, on or after due dates to help keep your action plan on track.

In the guide below, we'll walk you through how to set these on a Global and Workspace level.

Global-level Notifications Settings

Create a standard email due date schedule across all of the tasks in all workspaces, follow the steps below.

Step 1: From your homepage, click into Settings on the lefthand nav bar.

Step 2: Under Objects on the lefthand side, click Plans.

Step 3: Select Email Settings from the top tab options.

Step 4: To select the number of days you'd like to send the reminders, just toggle them on.

Once this is active, any task with a due date will be eligible to get the due date reminders.

Workspace-level Notification Settings

To manage due date reminders for any individual workspace, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Navigate to the desired Workspace.

Step 2: Click on the Internal tab found in the top nav bar.

Step 3: Click on the Tasks tab to the right of your activity feed.

Step 4: Here, you'll see an option for Email Settings.

The email settings at the Workspace level will match the global settings you set in admin. You can override those settings by simply adjusting the toggles at the workspace level.
