Pushing Dock data to Salesforce

Overview

Once you've completed the initial set up of the SFDC integration, you're ready for part II. In the article below we'll walk you through how to complete this integration and push Dock workspace links and activity data into Salesforce.


Workspace Links

Step 1: In Salesforce, create a field for the Dock Workspace URL. You can do it on the Account or Opportunity object.

Step 2: Navigate to your Objects > Workspaces settings.

Step 3: Click Edit next to the URL field name to link to the field in SFDC.

Workspace Activity

Dock will push analytics and plan activity to Salesforce Tasks.

Step 1: Navigate to Integrations in the admin panel > click Salesforce.

Step 2: Toggle on/off activities you'd like to push to Salesforce.

What activity gets synced?

  • Workspace viewed

  • File downloaded

  • Embed interaction

  • Link interaction

  • Project plan - New task created, Task completed, Task Uncompleted, Status updated, Task deleted, Due date changed, Start date changed, Project plan comment, Assignee added, Assignee removed
