Overview
Certifications lets you recognize reps (or customers) when they've learned a specific skill or reached a milestone.
Certifications can be tied to the following learning areas in Dock:
Pathways
Courses
Roleplays
Creating Certifications
Go to Learning
Click Admin in top right
Find Certifications in side nav
Click +Add Certification
5. Give Certificate name
6. Choose whether to upload existing certificate image or use the certificate maker
Certification Maker
The Certification Card is the main body of the certificate. You can customize it with the design panel.
Card Design Settings
Setting | What it does |
Text color | Sets the color of all text on the card |
Background | Sets the card's background color |
Rounded corners | Adjusts the corner radius of the card |
Border | Adds a border and lets you set its color |
Shadow | Choose from None, Soft, Strong, or Retro |
Label text | Toggle the small label (e.g. "YOU EARNED") on or off |
💡 Tip: use the {{assignee.name}} dynamic field in your headline (e.g. "Bravo! {{assignee.name}}") to automatically personalize each rep's certificate with their name.
Badge Design
The badge is the icon that sits at the center of the card. You can customize:
Setting | What it does |
Icon | Choose from the icon library (e.g. a trophy) |
Icon color | Sets the color of the icon |
Background | Sets the badge's background color |
Rounded corners | Adjusts the corner radius of the badge |
Shadow | Choose from None, Soft, Strong, or Retro |
Saving Your Certification
When you're done with the builder (or have uploaded your own image), you'll be taken back to finalize your new certificate. Select the courses you want it to be applied to and remember to hit Save on the top right!
Adding Certifications to Pathways
In the Pathways setup page , there's a Certification tab.
On this tab, you can choose to add an existing certification or create a new one.
When Learners complete the pathway, they recieve the certification.
Adding Certifications to Roleplays
In the scenario setup, there's a Certification step.
Set a score for a passing Roleplay grade.
When a learner reaches this score, they get the certification.
Adding Certifications to Courses
In the Admin page , there's a Certification tab.
On this tab, you can choose to add an existing certification or create a new one.
Learners will recieve the certification when they complete the course.
