Overview
Dock AI is included in every plan. You don't need to purchase credits, manage tokens, or monitor usage quotas. Fair-use protections exist only to prevent abuse and ensure reliability.
What "fair use" means
Dock's AI usage policy is designed to prevent abuse, not to limit how much value you get. It operates as a general rate limit that exists in the background — not a pay-per-use meter you're constantly managing.
In practice, this means:
AI Chat is designed for unrestricted day-to-day use. Fair-use protections exist only to prevent abuse and ensure platform reliability.
Workspace generation and editing are more compute-intensive and subject to fair use thresholds.
Limits scale with your plan and seat count. Larger teams on higher-tier plans get proportionally more usage.
Limits reset monthly on your billing anniversary.
Thresholds are not intended as a usage quota. They exist to prevent automated abuse and protect platform reliability. Dock does not publish specific threshold values, as these are subject to change as the platform evolves.
What happens when I hit a usage limit?
Most customers will never need to think about AI usage limits.
AI Chat and workspace generation are designed to support normal day-to-day business use.
If a usage limit is reached, you will receive an explanatory message directing you to contact your Dock support.
Reach out to [email protected] to request an AI usage review. Increases are granted within one business day for legitimate usage patterns.
If usage limiting is an ongoing issue, that is a signal that your plan or account configuration needs to be adjusted. Reach out to Support, and we will resolve it.
