Introduction
Dock supports SCIM provisioning. This makes it easy for your org to manage who internally has a Dock seat and when they should (or shouldn't) have access. Once it's set up, you can also map synced groups to Teams and user roles, so access stays current automatically as people join, leave, or change groups.
Follow the steps below to configure!
Configuring SCIM
Step 1: In order to set up SCIM, you first need to set up SSO
Step 2: Navigate to your admin Settings > Security
If you don't see this tab available to you, it's because you don't have Super Admin permissions. You'll want to reach out to your Dock admin to update your role.
Step 3: Click the SCIM sub-tab and the blue Configure button
Each provider will have custom steps for you to follow to complete the integration.
Mapping SCIM Groups to Teams and Roles
Once SCIM provisioning is enabled, you can map each synced group to a Team, a user role, or both, so members get the right access automatically as your identity provider syncs them into Dock.
Note: A group only shows up here once it's synced from your identity provider. If you don't see a group you're expecting, you'll see "No groups have synced from your identity provider yet" under Group mappings — check your IdP-side SCIM configuration.
Step 1: From the SCIM tab, under Sync options, find Group mappings and click Edit.
For each synced group you can assign a team you've created in Dock.
You can also set the group's user role (None, Standard, or Admin).
Step 2: Click Save changes to apply your mappings, or Cancel to discard them.
