Overview
Contact cards allow you to easily showcase points of contact and teams involved in an engagement! In the article below, we'll guide you through how to use these internally and externally, as well as how to customize them.
First, set your profile information...
Each user in Dock automatically has a contact card created for them based on their profile information. You can override the information, if needed, but we recommend each person fills out their profile! That ensures the info is up-to-date and can save your teammates time.
Step 1: Click Settings on the lefthand nav bar.
Step 2: Complete your profile info and Save profile!
Add a Contact Card
Step 1: Navigate to the appropriate workspace or template (make sure you're in editor mode).
Step 2: Select Add section > Contacts.
Select the Team
You can build contact cards for your own team or your customer
Edit or Add Contact Cards
You can add in contact cards that already exist (your teammates with a Dock seat), a placeholder from a project role (this is typically a placeholder put within a template), or from scratch.
If you have your CRM integrated, we will automatically pull in existing contacts on the account record to help you get started.
Once the card has appeared within the section, you can edit it in-line by clicking on the appropriate area of the card. Any edits you make will only reflect in this space!
Adding Additional Contact Cards
Roll your mouse over the edge of the contact card to reveal a + button!
Contact Card Design
Click on the contact card to pull up the Settings panel. Here you can edit more advanced details such as the card and button design.
Remove a Contact
To remove a contact, simply click on that person's card and then select the Remove contact card text on the bottom right of the settings panel.
Editing the Overall Contact Card
Click on the section overall to edit the entire contact card widget. Here you can add in your team logo and overall title for the contact card section. You'll also be able to customize the design (i.e. the background and border).
