Contact Cards

Using contact cards to display teams in workspaces

Updated over 3 months ago

Overview

Contact cards allow you to easily showcase points of contact and teams involved in an engagement! In the article below, we'll guide you through how to use these internally and externally, as well as how to customize them.

First, set your profile information...

Each user in Dock automatically has a contact card created for them based on their profile information. You can override the information, if needed, but we recommend each person fills out their profile! That ensures the info is up-to-date and can save your teammates time.

Step 1: Click Settings on the lefthand nav bar.

Step 2: Complete your profile info and Save profile!

Add a Contact Card

Step 1: Navigate to the appropriate workspace or template (make sure you're in editor mode).

Step 2: Select Add section > Contacts.

This will automatically pull in your information:

Edit or Add Contact Cards

You can edit your own contact card, or Edit Team to add/remove cards!

Adding contact cards

Step 1: Click on one of the existing cards or roll over the contact card section with your mouse and click Edit team. This automatically takes you to Your team.

If you are within a workspace, you can always toggle over to the account name to build out cards for the external team! If you have your CRM integrated, we will automatically pull in contacts on the account record.

Step 2: On the right hand side, select Add to the right of the name(s) you'd like to generate cards for.

The contact card should automatically populate.

Removing Contact Cards

Step 1: Roll your mouse over the outside box of the contact cards and click Edit Team.

Step 2: Under the Contacts section on the right-hand nav bar, click Remove.

Editing Contact Card Info

Step 1: You can click Edit on any contact cards to change the information displayed.

Editing the info on a card only edits it for that specific workspace! To make changes globally, you'll need to have the owner update their profile.

Step 2: Click on the information fields to update or hide them from view.

You can also edit the layout of the individual card.

Teams & Contact Card Display

You can also customize how teams are displayed and contact card styles.

Step 1: Roll your mouse over the cards and click Edit Team.

Step 2: In the righthand bar, edit the company info, style, or card layouts:
