Import Content from Microsoft SharePoint

How to import assets from SharePoint

Updated this week

Overview

Dock integrates with Microsoft SharePoint to help you import content to the library.

Sync SharePoint folders as a whole and Dock will mimic what's in those folders β€” if a file is removed, it will be removed from the Dock content library. If a file is added, it will be added to Dock.

Here's how it works:

  1. Connect a SharePoint site to Dock Library

  2. Dock will auto-sync all of the assets from the SharePoint site (native Google files, links, pdfs, images, & videos)

  3. Any assets removed from the SharePoint site will get removed from Dock

Syncing SharePoint

Step 1: Navigate to the library and click Manage on the top right

Step 2: Click on the SharePoint icon

Step 3: Click Connect SharePoint

You'll be prompted to authorize the connection at this time.

Step 4: Add the sites you'd like to sync over.

Dock syncs with an entire site, so keep that in mind before importing!

You'll be able to manage the folders (add/remove tags, force a re-sync or un-sync) once they're added.

Note:

Dock uses delegated user permissions.

What syncs?

  • Links, pdfs, images, and videos.

  • Native Microsoft files such as PowerPoints, Docs, Excel sheets.
