Overview
Security documentation shared within a Security Profile can be protected behind a click-wrap NDA.
Click-wrap NDAs are legally enforceable as outlined by a few key pieces of legislation including the Electronic Signatures Act (ESIGN) and The Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA).
Client Experience
When a document is protected by an NDA, the customer will see a Get Access button next to the document.
When "Get Access" is clicked, the customer will be prompted to agree to the NDA document that the admin uploaded to Dock.
Once the customer clicks, agree they will have access to all the security documents in the profile.
Admin: Setting Up NDAs
In the article about creating security profiles, we discuss adding NDAs to the document level. Below is additional information re: adding and managing these signatures.
Restrict access at the document level
For each document you add to Security Profiles, you can select to toggle on NDA, which would require the customer to sign an NDA to view the document.
Adding the Non-Disclosure Agreement
For the overall profile, add your own NDA or start from Dock's standard template.
Managing NDA Signatures
Once a security profile is shared with a customer, the sales team is able to easily see who has signed NDAs.
To do so, navigate to the Editor tab in the desired Workspace. Find the Security Profile in question and click Edit NDAs in the top right.
You'll see a pop up with everyone who has access to the Workspace.
This will show who has signed an NDA and who still needs to sign.
Overriding the NDA Requirement
If a customer has already signed an NDA outside of Dock, you're able to manually provide access to the documentation via the dropdown.
