Dock space layouts are flexible. The layout can be customized to fit your unique needs. There’s three core building blocks to building a layout:

  1. Sections
  2. Rows
  3. Columns

Dock Space layouts start with sections. Each section contains rows and columns. Every section will display on the mini-map. To add a section click "New Section" in the bottom left corner of the Editor.

This mini-map on the far left side of the editor, provides a visual guide for the entire space. Use this mini-map as a way to craft the optimal layout and flow for the space.

Within each section, there are rows. To add a row, click the + button next to the highlighted section in the Editor and then click on "Row."

You can add as many rows as you’d like within a section.

Rows can have different amounts of content in them and thus different heights.

Each Row can be a full-width, two columns or three columns.

When you're in a Row, click on "Edit Row Layout" to bring up the different column options.

And then select the Column layout for the Row.

Now, start adding content to each of these content blocks.
